Abstract

In some patients with gastroparesis, abdominal pain can be a prominent component of their symptoms. Treatment of abdominal pain, as well as any type of pain, in patients with gastroparesis is difficult, as some of the treatments may impact adversely on gastric emptying and other symptoms of gastroparesis. This chapter discusses the symptom of abdominal pain in gastroparesis and the management of pain in patients with gastroparesis.
