Abstract
In this chapter, I discuss issues related to managing your research team, managing your time, and managing your research funds. Most new physician-scientists have limited training with respect to management issues. However, these issues are critical to your success as a physician-scientist. You may be an excellent physician and an excellent scientist, but unless you become adept at managing your research team, your time, and your research funds, you will have difficulty becoming optimally effective as a physician-scientist.
Management is doing things right. Leadership is doing the right things.
