Abstract

The Helsinki Symposium of the Sixth International Congress of Pharmacology held in Helsinki in July of 1975 was organized by Gabriel G. Nahas, William D. M. Paton, and Juhana E. Idanpaan-Heikkila who were editors of the resulting proceedings. This symposium gathered 126 scientists and physicians from the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, France, Sweden, Germany, and Israel who presented 44 papers describing the chemistry, biochemistry, and cellular effects of marihuana. Its proceedings were published in 1976 (1).
