Abstract

The management of testicular cancer has changed dramatically since the early 1980s because of highly effective chemotherapy and improvements in surgical technique. The long-term survival and cure rate even for advanced stages of all germ cell tumors is excellent. As such, there is now increased emphasis on developing treatment regimens that attain a high cure rate while minimizing patient morbidity.
