Abstract

Oligonucleotide microarrays are fast earning a privileged position in the toolboxes of many cancer researchers. Driving their rise in prominence is a rapidly growing list of the technique’ s accomplishments, including the discovery of new tumor classes, the assignment of clinical samples to known tumor classes, the elucidation of molecular pathways underlying cancer behavior, the prediction of clinical outcomes, and the identification of potential targets for therapeutic intervention.
