Abstract

Greek science is collected, codified, and systematized in the Alexandrian Museum, a state-subsidized collection of scholars. Initially, important anatomical and physiological discoveries were made, and physiology was established as a science. But, over time, there was a gradual shift from science toward mysticism. As the museum declined to extinction, most of what was known of Greek science was lost.
