Abstract
Use of the Enveco tool is demonstrated on two case studies in the following sections. Case Study 1 was selected because it was surrounded by industrial structures on all sides, the fire vented through the roof, and the fire service adopted a defensive strategy using water to cool the adjacent structures. The hazard occupancy was classified as “Extra—Group 1” due to the mix of contents, some of which could affect the burning behavior of the fire. Therefore another case study was selected as a second opportunity to demonstrate the Enveco tool. This warehouse had only one adjacent structure (also industrial) and the contents were classified as “Ordinary—Group 1”.
