Abstract
First, it is worth remembering that there is a real aspect of luck to the grant application process. A terrific application will get rejected outright since one reviewer has misinterpreted a piece of preliminary data or the grant went to a group of reviewers who are not expert in your area. Inasmuch as things are actually in your control, in this chapter, I review a variety of assorted issues that I may have touched on earlier either simply to reiterate or expound on them in more detail. I’ve itemized them as dos and don’ts, in no particular order of importance.
