Abstract

In 1895 Sigmund Freud proposed his “Project for a scientific psychology” where he proposed psycho-dynamics as a discipline based on thermodynamic principles . Freud focused his attention on the ‘energy’ and its distribution in the mental apparatus and outlined how psychopathology may be related to normal psychology. Within this ‘thermo-dynamics’ of the mind he proposed basic terms of ‘psychodynamics’.
