Classification of Adult Renal Tumors and Grading of Renal Cell Carcinoma

Abstract

There are many types of renal tumors, both benign and malignant, that affect the adult kidney. This chapter covers the International Society of Urologic Pathology classification of adult renal tumors including recently described variants as well as grading of renal cell carcinoma. The pathology, immunohistochemistry, and cytogenetic findings of adult renal tumors are discussed.
