Abstract

In October 2011, Internet marketing research company comScore coined the term “digital omnivores” to describe the new generation of digital media consumers, especially those living in the United States, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Japan, and Australia (1).

“No activity is too big or too small to share. You don’t have to ‘Like’ a movie. You just watch a movie.”

– Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg (September 2011)

“Digital omnivores consume content everywhere they go across every device whether it’s their PC, tablet or smartphone.”

– Sarah Radwanick of comScore (February 2012)
