Abstract
This chapter is divided in three sections and covers lesions able to be sampled by ultrasound (US)-guided FNA with the exception of primary lesions of the thyroid, salivary glands, and lymph nodes. The first section topographically divides the neck by regions and covers lesions that commonly occur in such regions. The second section covers lesions that occur in the skin and scalp, and the third section covers uncommon lesions of the head and neck. Cytologic, ultrasound, and immunohistochemical features are described. Numerous cytologic and US figures complement the text.
