Abstract
Currently, ultrasound-guided (USG)-FNA is universally accepted as a simple, inexpensive, accurate, safe, and rapid technique that yields valuable information for adequate clinical management. This chapter describes in detail the steps involved in making an accurate cytologic interpretation including clinical evaluation, ultrasound exam, USG-FNA and USG-core biopsy approach, and specimen handling. The text is complemented with relevant figures and references.
