Abstract

This chapter presents the author’s original research exploring the use of an academic impairment model that incorporates the presence of functional impairment with a low achievement approach to learning disability diagnosis. The inclusion of response to intervention methods with such a framework is discussed. Examples of assessment protocols and report writing are presented.
