Abstract
Detailed descriptions of the cytologic manifestations of lung infections are presented, with illustrations of causative organisms. These include viruses (Herpes, Cytomegalovirus, Adenovirus), bacteria (Mycobacteria, Actinomyces), fungi (Candida, Cryptococcus, Aspergillus, Zygomycetes, Histoplasma, Blastomyces, Coccidioides, Paracoccidioides, Sporotrichum, Pneumocystis jiroveci), and parasites (Strongyloides, Paragonimus, Dirofilaria).
