Abstract
Reactive and hyperplastic changes in cytologic specimens, specifically in bronchoscopic and FNA samples, are frequent causes of problems in differential diagnosis. Changes involving bronchial and alveolar epithelium are presented along with differential diagnosis from neoplastic conditions.
Squamous metaplasia and atypia, chemotherapy- and radiotherapy-induced changes, and their differential diagnoses from neoplastic conditions are presented in separate sections.
