Transport distribution analysis

  • Alan E. Branch

Transport distribution analysis is featuring increasingly in the exporter’s or shipper’s evaluation of the technique of processing an export order. Undoubtedly this is due to much increased competition in world markets and the desirability of attaining the best method of distribution considering all the circumstances. Moreover, an increasing number of export companies now have their own shipping department, which is building up an expertise of international distribution techniques designed to secure the best method of distribution for their company products. The result is that these shipping departments are doing more than earning their keep and are thereby helping to keep their companies’ products competitive in very competitive overseas markets.
