Abstract
In this chapter, the aim is to examine the process of supervision in nursing by taking examples from real supervision sessions where the focus has been upon facilitating nurses to deal with their work. Attempts are made to analyse the interactions between supervisor and supervisee. For this reason, the focus of the cases presented here is the supervisory relationship, and not an attempt to show exemplary practice, although there are hopefully no examples of poor practice either.
