Meprobamate: Ethoheptazine citrate: Aspirin
  • Ronald J. Tallarida

Meprobamate has analgesic (and possibly muscle relaxing) actions. When there is musculoskeletal pain it enhances the analgesic effects of other drugs. Ethoheptazine is structurally related to meperidine, but has only mild analgesic activity and extremely low abuse potential. The analgesic, antipyretic, and anti-inflammatory actions of aspirin are well known.
