Abstract

Choledyl is a xanthine bronchodilator and, compared to aminophylline, is less irritating to the gastric mucosa, more readily absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract, more stable, and more soluble. Like other xanthines, Choledyl is known to increase the vital capacity that is impaired by bronchospasms and air-trapping.
