Abstract

Sections 13.3 and 13.5 and 14.1 to 14.4 of the book entitled “Physical and Computational Aspects of Convective Heat Transfer” provide listings of computer programs which allow the solution of the equations representing conservation of mass, momentum and energy for two internal and four external boundary-layer flows. The following six sections repeat the descriptions of these computer programs and provide additional comments to facilitate their use. The first section considers a duct flow problem in which the velocity field is fully developed so that only the energy equation has to be solved. This introductory problem is followed by a description of the Fortran program for the solution of the equations for two-dimensional coupled wall boundary layers for both laminar and turbulent flows and the remaining four problems are solved with the aid of versions of this general program.
