Part 5. Instruments for Relative Pressure Measurements

  • R. Leclercq

Secondary instruments used in pressure measurements are mainly transducers converting pressure into a suitable parameter such as the movement of a pointer over a dial, an electrical signal, etc. In common instruments, pressure measurements are reduced either to a measurement of forces acting on well-defined surfaces or to controlled device displacements which constitute a sensor.
