Abstract

It has already been shown (ยง1, Chapter VIII), that the problem of a thin-profile cascade reduces to that of the independent solution of two sets of linear algebraic equations (8.9). The number of equations in each of these systems is equal to the number of vortices m replacing the profile cascade. The coefficients of the equations are the dimensionless velocities due to an infinite chain of vortices.
