Common Biological and Social Conceptions of Evolution

  • Leopold Willem Rosdorff

Abstract

In the preceding chapters a survey has been given of explanations of evolutionary occurrences in both the areas of biology and of human society. These explanations had the common factor that their approaches were based on the presumption that evolution in those distinguished areas has generally occurred according to different principles: if in a certain case, e.g. the notion of struggle for life, similarities exist, then this is considered as no more than a coincidence.
