Grieving the Dysfunctional Family

  • Donna F. Lamar

Abstract

It seems very appropriate that I am beginning this chapter after the death of a dear cousin. It is the day before Easter, and my cousin died on Wednesday night. He died of cancer, an agonizing death with intense struggles. Tom adjusted his life to battle the disease by changing his behavior, living style, and eating patterns and doing anything that had the hope of bringing more energy and life to his dying body.
