Abstract
I just finished a twelve-hour day at work. It is one of many twelve- to sixteen-hour days I put in between work, writing, and family responsibilities. Today, I had a meeting with the staff, picked up the kids after school for an appointment, functioned as a clinic director, worked with clients in therapy, and met with two attorneys and discussed a very difficult, emotional case. Yesterday, I coached my daughter’s high school equestrian team. With this responsibility, I get up at 4:30 a.m. and run around with horses and riders until at least 6 p.m. Sound like fun? Actually, it is. I love the kids, clients, work, and, especially, the variety in my life. The only problem with my schedule is that there is little time to rest, and I sometimes become exhausted.
