Abstract
With the expanding civilian and military activity in Canada’s Northland there has been an increasing demand for radio communications in this area. This contribution reports on the development of the military network in the regions concerned. Results from various experiments conducted to test antennas, equipment and optimum use of allocated frequencies are displayed. In particular the experience with three circuits, influenced in different manners by the auroral belt, is discussed.
