The Effect of Denervation on Muscle Development

Abstract

Investigation of the effect of denervation upon processes of muscle development represents an important aspect of problems concerning the trophic influence of the nervous system. If it is assumed that the trophic influence of the nervous system affects muscle metabolism and primarily its anabolic processes, then ontogenetic and regeneration studies represent a suitable approach to studying this problem, since development is characterized by a marked predominancy of anabolic processes.
