Abstract

People with mental handicaps are a diverse group. Clear differences emerged between the characteristics of people in different residential settings. In an attempt to discover whether people with similar levels of disability are clustered together, in this chapter, people with mental handicaps have been divided into four broad categories on the basis of their physical and behavioural problems.
