The Role of Building Evaluation in Earthquake Hazard Reduction

  • Chapter

Abstract

This chapter will describe the current and potential roles of building evaluation in earthquake hazard reduction. It will discuss studies which focus on the relationship between environment and behavior before, during, and after earthquakes. It will describe why earthquakes are important, where the benefits lie, and where the field is going.
