Abstract
The ubiquinone analogue 5-n-undecyl-6-hydroxy-4,7 -dioxobenzothiazole (UHDBT) is a potent inhibitor of the cyanide sensitive pathway, acting at the level of complex III. Cook & Cammack (1984) have found that it also inhibits cyanide -insensitive respiration at similar concentrations, in the order of 10−7M.
