Abstract

Many of the problems affecting stroke survivors seem to relate clearly to either the ‘dominant’ hemisphere (which will contain the language processing area) or the ‘non-dominant’ hemisphere (which controls much of the ‘common-sense’ processing) of the brain. In the majority of humans the dominant half of the brain is the left hemisphere, giving right-handed skills dominance over the left-handed ones.

He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.
