Practically all business and management qualification courses require you to research and write an extended piece of prose as part of the requirements for successful graduation. The final piece of work goes by a variety of names, ‘Project’, ‘Dissertation’ and ‘Thesis’ being the most common. It may vary in length, depending on the requirements of the particular curriculum which you are following; it certainly varies in standard, depending on the level of qualification which your curriculum provides. It’s usually done on an in-company basis, for your employer if you’re a part-time student, or during a time when you’re placed with a host organization if your studies are full-time.
