Learning counselling skills
There are a variety of ways of learning counselling skills. As we have noted throughout, to some degree the process of living can be an aid to learning how to counsel. Three routes are open to the practitioner who wishes to develop a range of counselling skills: working on their own, working as a pair with a colleague or friend, or learning in a small group. Each of these routes will be considered in turn and linked to the practical exercises for skills development offered in this book.
