Accuracy, results, sources of diagnostic error: Illustrative cases

  • Chapter
Knee Arthrography

Abstract

Numerous published studies have shown that, in experienced hands and employing a careful technique, arthrography can achieve an accuracy in excess of 90 per cent in the diagnosis of meniscal injuries (Freiberger et al., 1966, Kiss and Moir, 1968, Butt and McIntyre, 1969; Brown et al., 1978, Thijn, 1979).
