Abstract
In this chapter, the influence of congenital heart disease (CHD) on the investigation and management of oesophageal atresia infants is described. Physiological and anatomical implications of the associated CHD affect the urgency of investigation and the timing of surgery. Despite this, the most important determinant of prognosis has become the presence of major chromosomal or non-cardiac, non-oesophageal defects.
