Abstract

First it may be necessary to say that although most nurses and allied professionals view behaviourism with a range of emotions from reverence to dread, it is in fact a basic component of our everyday lives. It is a school of thought which offers a distinctly different perspective and, when used thoughtfully, can be of immense help to the mental health nurse.
