The future of the chemical industry is closely tied to waste reduction. At the Dow Chemical Company, reducing waste has been an important objective for many years, and we have a wealth of knowledge and experience in this important field. This paper is designed to share some of that knowledge. Nearly all the ideas that will be discussed are based on process changes that have actually been made by Dow plants.
