Contemporary Thin-Layer Chromatography: An Introduction

  • Chapter
Recent Advances in Thin-Layer Chromatography

Summary

Thin-layer chromatography (TLC) is at last beginning to overcome the poor image from which it has suffered in the past. With the development of high performance TLC plates, the introduction of new stationary phases and the instrumentalization of virtually all aspects of the technique TLC has been transformed into a modern sensitive and high performance analytical method. Current advances in TLC are briefly reviewed including developments in stationary phases, techniques of development and methods of detection.
