Abstract
It is frequently said that viruses, pollution, and natural disasters do not recognize international borders. This chapter examines the critical health issues only along the United States-Mexico border. Although there is a limited body of research on border health issues, and much still needs to be done, innovative programs addressing some of the issues facing U.S. and Mexican border communities have been implemented.
