Abstract
Over the past decade, many investigations on cellular regulation have rapidly developed to find hundreds of regulatory proteins, including protein kinases and phosphatases, their effectors and their targets. At present, it is clear that numerous cellular regulation processes are controlled by a complex network of these regulatory proteins, and that protein phosphorylation plays a crucial role on working of such network. Considering that most of these regulatory proteins are present at extremely low levels in cells, the development of sensitive techniques is essential for analysis of phosphorylated proteins.
