Abstract
In this chapter we shall deal principally with stereoscopic systems that use two television cameras to generate images which are viewed in real time by the left eye and the right eye of a human observer. However, there are a number of photographic systems that use two cameras, or the equivalent of two cameras, to take two photographs which are subsequently viewed by the left eye and the right eye of a human observer.
