Inner Experience in Anxiety
Nancy (Chapter 11) and Jean (Chapter 12) were two out of a group of five anxious subjects who formed part of the first author’s Master’s Thesis at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. These five anxious individuals were not selected to represent any particular kind of anxiety disorder, but instead included a relatively wide variety of anxious disturbance including test anxiety, generalized anxiety disorder, agoraphobia, and panic attacks. The present chapter is based primarily on these five individuals and secondarily on additional anxious patients with whom the senior author has sampled in a clinical environment.
