Abstract
For purposes of this paper, I define technology transfer as: “The sum total of the communication processes whereby new technology in the form of research ideas is translated into innovative products and services in the market place.” By focusing on technology transfer as a communication process with multiple feedback loops, as shown schematically in Figure 1, we can make the role of the intermediary in this process more evident.
