Abstract
Research on the prevention of AIDS among women is clearly just beginning. Remaining questions far outnumber lessons learned, even though women are becoming infected at a rate that is already much too high and accelerating rapidly. We conclude by presenting a brief listing of conclusions as well as some issues in need of further attention as the epidemic progresses.
