Temperature Dependence of the Magnesium-Oxalate Stability Constant

Abstract

Biological systems (for example, poikilotherms and plants) and in vitro experiments involve crystallization of calcium oxalate over a wide temperature range. Since magnesium is a well-known complexor of oxalate, knowledge of temperature dependence of stability constants for magnesium-oxalate complex species is of great interest and is required to calculate ion activities at different temperatures.
