Abstract
When studying the receptors of skeletal muscles, most attention is paid to muscle spindles, other types of sensory nerve endings receiving less attention (Zhenevskaya, 1974). In recent years, the methods of transplantation of skeletal muscles, minced or whole, which were first developed in the laboratory of A.N. Studitsky (Studitsky, 1959) have been widely used. These methods have led to numerous studies on the restitution in transplanted muscles of various types of mechanoreceptors. Less understood is the fate of mechanoreceptors under other experimental conditions, in particular, after denervation of the skeletal muscle, after transplantation of a minced muscle and under the effect of glucocorticoids.
