Abstract

This paper presents the results of a study in which the Risk Ranking Technique was applied to the evaluation of the acceptability of the four proposals for a fixed link across the English Channel. The reason for using the Risk Ranking Technique was that it gives a comprehensive assessment of the acceptability of the technical, economic, and sociopolitical aspects of the risks inherent in the proposals.
