Abstract
No history of psychology and the role of consciousness in psychology would be complete without a review of the recent cognitive revolution in psychology (Gardner, 1985). Baars (1986) suggests that between 1955 and 1965 a quiet revolution occurred in scientific psychology that led to the cognitive revolution of the 1970s and 1980s.
