Abstract
Thus far we have derived various conditions which must be satisfied if a control u*(·):[t 0, t*1]→R m is optimal at x 0 for the optimal control problem posed in Chapter 10. These necessary conditions are embodied in the maximum principle, Theorem 11.1. Various generalizations, including “optimality on θ0” were taken up in Chapter 13.
